A HUGE family fun day with a funfair, markets, and live music is coming to Warrington this weekend.
Warrington Select, a town representative rugby team, will be hosting the event on Saturday to raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice and Halton Haven Hospice.
The team is a non-profit charitable fundraising group that selects players who volunteer themselves from various amateur rugby clubs across the town to play one off matches.
On Saturday, Warrington Select will be playing Great British Police RL in a clash that has sold hundreds of tickets.
Following the event, a family fun day will be taking place to raise funds for the charities.
This will consist of a fun fair, a markers market, live music, activities, food and drink, and lots more.
The team is already well on its way to hitting its £10,000 target.
Taking place at Tetley Walkers Recreation Club in Orford from 12pm, Saturday will be a ticketed event.
Tickets can be purchased from behind the bar at Tetley Walkers Recreation Club.
Tickets are £3 per person, or a family ticket (which includes four) are £10.
Under three’s go free.
